Athro’s CIP Preparatory Workshop is designed to prepare candidates to succeed on the AIIM CIP certification exam. This workshop covers all of the topics on the CIP exam in depth and helps students to understand how different information management concepts, processes, and technologies impact each other. 

The CIP Preparatory Workshop offers attendees regular opportunities to apply what they’ve learned, through discussions, activities, exercises, and quizzes.

As an authorized AIIM Training Partner, we use licensed AIIM training materials that cover 100% of the topics on the exam. We do not “teach to the exam”; rather, we cover all of the topics a modern information professional needs to be successful, many of which are also on the exam.

We also do not guarantee that attendees will pass the exam. But we believe that those who have experience in the field, and study and participate during the course, will do better than those that don’t.

The CIP Prep workshop is available in two instructor-led formats: in-person and live online.

In-person workshops are offered as public courses in select cities in the U.S. Courses are generally scheduled for Tuesday – Thursday, but check each individual course schedule to confirm. 

Live online workshops are designed to fit your busy schedule and offer the same high-quality content from the comfort of your home or office. Workshops are scheduled for either one or two 2-hour sessions per week for a total of 6 sessions. Check the individual course schedule to confirm. 

In both cases, attendees will receive all of the course materials in advance. Participants will be encouraged to review the materials prior to class. During the courses, we will  briefly review the materials and then focus on activities and practical application.

Attendees will also get a one-year subscription to AIIM+ Pro, AIIM’s online learning portal; access to a learning cohort for one year; and access to monthly office hours sessions where they can ask questions of the instructor or other call attendees. 

Other Workshop Options
Athro Consulting also offers private and custom courses which are available in-person or live online.  

Private courses are limited to your people, who can feel a little freer to talk about what’s going on in the organization – your processes, your challenges, your technologies, etc. You provide the venue or platform, and the students, and we provide the instructor and the course materials, and the learning experience – for one flat rate. 

Custom courses are generally also private courses, but further tailored to your organization’s needs. We can exclude content you deem less relevant, or create or add content you think is important. These are also offered for a single flat rate per course.

About the Instructor
Our courses are led by Jesse Wilkins, CIP, CIPP/US, CIPM, IGP, CRM, CIGO, ICE-CCP, AIIM Fellow. Jesse has been delivering training on a variety of topics since 1994, and has been an active end user, consultant, and trainer in the information management space for more than 25 years. He has delivered hundreds of public, private, and custom workshops around the globe and is recognized for his ability to translate complex and technical concepts into practical information.
